okay people, listen up. my dad got cancer a couple years ago and he’s fucking pissed off about it and he wants your help. he created a charity to help individual people with cancer/the expenses and its called the tomorrow club. if everyone who follows donates a small amount of $5, he will reach his goal to at least make his charity tax deductible. its the fucking holiday season. the least anyone can do is make a bitter middle aged man happy. he’s been bitching at me for half an hour about how its so stupid that no one cares about charities anymore and he just wants to get going on fundraising.
please help me and my dad out. $5 is not a lot of money.
please be sure to choose what number pin you’d like! these are one of a kind, so get one while you can! sweet little HPZ buttons made with my very own button maker! comes with goodies! when you buy this, you are getting the pin you selected and some extra goodies, like a sticker for example.
check it out!! i’m selling 10 one of a kind human petting zoo pins to kickstart the fact that i can make pins with my brand new Tecre button maker in the first place!! soon more pins will be up, not limited edition pins, but check these out and grab one while you can! limited edition pins sounds fancier than it is!
i’m raising money to make tapes!! the money will directly go towards purchasing blank tapes and cases, as well as duplication of the tapes. the rest of the money will go towards printing of the inserts, which i’m doing myself! be sure to check out the rewards you can get for donating a certain amount of money, theres lots of cool things! and don’t forget to read the letter underneath the rewards!
wanna help me get cassettes made? you can totally donate your dollars to this fund! be sure to check out the rewards as well as my letter under the rewards explaining what the money goes to! i’ve been wanting to put out a cassette for a while and with your help, i can!! the tape will feature all new recordings of many old and new upcoming songs!
GoFundMe: The Tomorrow Club, an organization dedicated to financially helping people with cancer and celebrating life, by Bill Blakeman
Hey everyone, my dad is the creator of the organization The Tomorrow Club, and in order for The Tomorrow Club to get going, we need to raise some cash. Here’s some information from the gofundme page about my dad and the organization.
3 and 1/2 years ago I was diagnosed with oral cancer. After moping and being bitter for a couple years, I decided to do something about it and try to give back because of my good fortune of being alive. Myself and some friends have started a charitable organization - The Tomorrow Club Inc. We are currently registered with the state of Ohio and are trying to raise money for applying for 501c3 status, as well as start up costs for obtaining a facility. Here is my initial post on The Tomorrow Club’s Facebook page :
Why start The Tomorrow Club? A little over 2 years ago, I was diagnosed with mouth cancer. I went from being (in my mind) invincible, to possibly dying from either cancer or the extensive surgery that was involved in removing the tumor. 2 years later, I am still kicking, albeit with a constant reminder of what I went through. I really never wanted to be a poster child for cancer survival. I would have much rather not had to deal with this.
I am very good at coming off like a very strong person. Everyone thinks I kicked cancer’s ass. The truth is I struggle with the mental aspect of it daily. Some of the side affects from surgery are more of a nuisance than anything. Some cosmetic, some eating and drinking. The fear of cancer coming back really weighs on my mind. I have a lot of respect for people that can just get on with their lives. I am not that person. I always think , when will this be over?, and the reality is that it will never be over.
So, The Tomorrow Club. This will be my way of honoring those who have cancer, those that are kicking cancer’s ass, and maybe prevent someone from getting cancer. This will be as much for myself as anyone. It will be a place to gather and celebrate life. In my mind, I really have accomplished very little in my life. This is my opportunity to give something positive to the world as thanks for my being around still, and maybe give someone who is about to go down the same road, hope for tomorrow.
We are starting this to directly help individuals. We are not going to cure cancer, but through education, possibly prevent the occurrence of cancer. With help from your donations we will be able to start fulfilling our mission. Our official mission is:
The Tomorrow Club is a charitable organization established for the purpose of educating and empowering individuals to make informed lifestyle choices conducive to reducing and preventing the incidence of cancer, while raising money for victims of malignant disease.
Thank you all in advance for considering our charity.
** Since we are asking for a pretty decent amount of money, I figured I would give some insight to what the funds are for:
1. Legal Fees and application for 501c3 status.
2. Making our website fully functioning.
3. Rent, signage and repair / remodel of the facility.
4. Equipment / supplies / insurance, for facility.
NONE OF THE MONEY WILL BE USED FOR PAYROLL.
So there you have it. Please share/reblog this. I know too many people that have been affected by cancer, and I know too many people who have lost their lives because of it.
i know i’ve been talking about that compilation CD a lot, and this is a way for those of you who don’t play music can help out!! every dollar counts.
just got asked to go on a two week tour with kitten crisis (kyle hall & matt of amy bruce spaceshow) and unraveler (dakota tha babe) next summer to play as the kitten crisis bassist!!! be right back, taking my inhaler!! and if for some reason i can’t go on that summer tour, then there might be a small kitten crisis/human petting zoo tour in spring instead! yay! so many cool things happening!
hey everyone! i’m putting together a benefit compilation. all the money goes to the organization my dad started, The Tomorrow Club, a non-profit, anti-cancer organization that you should check out and ‘like’. we’re accepting ANY kind of band — folk punk, acoustic music, punk, hardcore, indie — anything! you can hit me up on here or by email: email@example.com. i’m shooting for 20 different artists!! so far some bands who are going to be on it are Go Home, Paper Ceilings, The Adventure Kids, Fight For Your Friends, and more!
